Shanghai International Cultural Service & Trade Platform

Shanghai International Cultural Service & Trade Platform (ICTP) is accommodated by Shanghai Oriental International Cultural Trade Center. It is located inside Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone (SWFTZ). The ICTP is a cultural trade and service platform built by the Publicity Department of Shanghai Municipal Government and Shanghai Pudong City Council. It is directed by Shanghai International Cultural Trade Promoting Committee and operated by Shanghai Oriental Huiwen International Cultural Service Trading Co., Ltd. (OICT) with an invested capital of RMB 500 million.

The ICTP is optimizing the usage of SWFTZ’s ”Inside the Border yet Outside Customs” status as a Customs Special Inspection Area and its beneficial policy advantages. The ICTP is gathering both domestic and international cultural resources and creating a new mode for the cultural service and trade. With its five major functions of “Exhibition & Trade Center”, “International Trade Base”, “Culture Going Global Channel”, “International Cultural Exchange Carrier” and “Public Service Platform” starting to take effect, the Platform is ready to step into the world arena.

Under the direction, and with the support from the Ministry of Publicity and Ministry of Commerce of The People’s Republic of China and other ministries and commissions, Shanghai International Cultural Service and Trade Platform is dedicated to pioneering the exploration of international cultural service and trade in Shanghai. The platform has been blueprinted with six major functions: the platform for exhibiting cultural products; the global creativity platform for the cultural industry; the platform for international cultural joint establishment and exchanges; the national platform for cultural trade; the platform for cultural business financing and the platform for professional personnel training in the field of cultural trading. Meanwhile, the Platform will also function as three fundamental bases: the base to implement the “going global” ideology for the Chinese cultural industry; the international base for original creation; and the base for generating, developing, and strengthening the Chinese cultural industry, thus becoming the international cultural service and trade foundation based in Shanghai and serving the entire nation.
